Yesterday was Halloween and I finally had a chance to get the kids dressed up. We don't usually celebrate Halloween in Australia but Henry's school were holding a Halloween fundraiser. My boy Henry and I were at the shopping center today and they had the wildlife exhibition there. I don't know if he was impressed with the owl or not but he wasn't fond of the bird that sat on my head.

I just spent all last night from 2am in the emergency room at our local hospital because Henry had an asthma attack. it was so terrifying to watch him gasp for breath and cough so violently. We had to wake him to give him ventolin because he sounded so distressed. We didn't leave until 8.30am the next morning and I haven't slept much. I'm so tired ( Read more... )

Welcome to the world Henry William Brown! I gave birth to my son on the 24th of May, 2008. My contractions started on the Friday night before, coming every 10 minutes, minutes and in the end by the time we got to the hospital 4 minutes. My child and I have been spoilt rotten by our family. My baby shower was absolutely brilliant and I swear my baby will want for nothing, bar a few more necessities. My sister was a saint, she organised everything and paid for everything as well. I didn’t have to do a single thing except put my feet up. Another beautiful day at the hospital today. I love going in because they let me listen to my baby's heartbeat and that instantly reassures me that everything is going well. I'm so ultra paranoid of things going wrong but all of the midwifes continue to reassure me that everything is fine. It was certainly an experience though. As I waited ( Read more... )

I have great news to report today is,  I'm officially into my third trimester with my pregnancy. My baby, if born now would have a good chance of surviving with intensive care so I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
